The Annual Convention is held every year usually beginning on the last Sunday in June. This was established back in 1912 because the Miners went on vacation beginning on that date. The convention is considered the premiere "family" convention in the industry. Along with excellent technical sessions, Mine Rescue evaluations, Scholarship Awards and Short Course classes, the convention offers spouse and children's events, golf, entertainment, good food, wonderful friendships and a memorable time in the Rocky Mountains.
